DWARF stands for DUCS Work And Research Facility The introduction of DUCS and their requirements led to the formation of DWARF. It can be looked upon as the DUCS office or its cyber-garage. Earlier the core DUCS-related work used to be performed at E-learning lab of DBIT but now it has been merged with the CRAVE/ Multimedia Laboratory of DBIT. It consists of 5 machines among which two of them are currently functioning as DBIT servers to host various projects and applications for DBIT. The other three form the infrastructure of DUCS on which various project tasks and experimenting is done. Launchpad is currently used by the CRAVE team as a Multimedia Server. These machines are for exclusive use by DUCS only. As per requirements the number of PCs may go up depending on the requirements of work groups. As of now the 20 machines in CRAVE lab are also made available to DWARF during non-practicals hours of the institute. As per the requirements of workgroups, the volunteers are granted permission to work on the machines for their respective project work.
